The Yellowstone universe has already expanded to include 1923 with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford and The Madison which stars Michelle Pfeiffer as well as a prequel series called 1883 that stars Tim McGraw and a yet-to-be-named Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler spin-off but now another program is in the works.

Deadline reported in May that producers are working on a show currently being referred to as Y: Marshals which will follow one of the main Yellowstone Duttons, Kayce.
A longline for Y: Marshals reads: ‘Combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.’
Sounds action-packed! We’ve high hopes for a Kayce spin-off, and as Yellowstone fans know, he played a huge role in determining the Dutton ranch’s future in the main series.
From the longline, it sounds like the spin-off will pick up the story after the end of Yellowstone so we’ll get to see how things pan out for the family.
Luke has reacted to the news, sharing Deadline’s article and saying: ‘Cowboys don’t say goodbye, they say see you later.’
Joining Luke in the show will be And Just Like That star Logan Marshall-Green, who has also starred in 24 and The O.C, as the character Pete Calvin, a friend of Kayce’s from his military service, in Y: Marshals.
As for when we can expect to watch Y: Marshals, the wait mightn’t be as long as you expect, according to Town and Country.
They report Chris McCarthy, President and CEO of MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks, as saying in May that the show will be ‘premiering on CBS and the next day on Paramount+ globally starting in Q1 of 2026.’
Writer Spencer Hudnut is said to be on board with the new series as well as Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan who is among those on the producing team.
It’s not 100 per cent clear when we’ll get to watch Y: Marshal in Ireland
